Journal Entry: Tue Aug 11, 2009, 10:19 PM

Well I'm not uploading much here anymore at the moment. Trying to focus more on my art. You can follow me at me art account :iconnicollemaria: if you'd like.

Also scaling back the collection a bit anyone and trying to not obsess about dolls as much. So yeah, there'll still be a photo from time to time but man I am so not keeping up with new deviations and journals from all the doll artists I have friend on this account. Sorry.

I believe in Flying Spaghetti Monster, and have been touched by His holy noodly appendages. If you have too, copy and paste this into your signature.

What would you say is the most common size (hight) of BJD? I'm thinking of getting one, and I would like to be able to resell clothes after a while. Thanks! :glomp:

Sorry for the late reply. I think SD, (60ish cm) and MSD (43ish cm?) are the most common.

A question if you may...

You know how your dolls have wigs and such? Are these wigs secured somewhat, or are they loose enough to fall off at the slightest jiggle? From all the photography I've seen on here, I know that wigs falling off is a problem, but are they so loose that the only profession a doll could aspire to is posing very still? Do they constantly need positioning to stay on without falling, or is it just annoying to push their hair in place? Sorry for asking such questions; I'm curious!

Lovely dolls you have, and a great gallery!

You can use various method to secure wigs actually. Lark [link] has a thick rubber band around her head that helps keep her wig in place. Cresil [link] uses a silicon cap and I can turn him upside down and shake him without his wig falling off. (Of course I'd have to style it again afterwards.) Some people also use velcro.

Do you remember the good old days before the ghost town? We danced and sang, and the music played in a de boomtown. :silentkitty:
